Members of the North/South Chamber Orchestra perform three recent works by Max Lifchitz, the ensemble’s founder and director. Flutist Lisa Hansen will perform an expanded five-movement version of the Latin American Mosaic, written especially for her. Soprano Celia Castro will present the song cycle Rosa Divina, inspired by texts of the great Mexican poet Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz; while violinist Arthur Moeller and cellist Amy Kang will join the composer in the premiere of Beethoven’s Moods written to mark Beethoven’s 250th birthday.
The event will start at 7 PM (EST) and will be streamed live through National Opera Center.
